Rocky Run Elementary School PTO

Welcome to 2017! 

We hope that this year brings with it new experiences, new opportunities, and a fresh perspective.  As always, we have planned some exciting events and activities for our wonderful Bulldog’s and their families.  Our annual movie night is coming up quickly.  Although this is a free event, we are asking for canned food donations that will go toward our school’s Canstruction team the following day at the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.

• Thursday, January 5^this our first PTO meeting of 2017 at 7:00 in the RRES library.
• Wednesday, January 11^this RRES Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a from 5:00-8:00PM.  **Please remember to tell them you are there for Rocky Run Elementary School when ordering so that we receive credit***
• Friday, January 13^this Movie Night at RRES.  We hope you are able to join us, to watch “Finding Dory”.  Concessions will be available and we will hold a raffle for a drone and a copy of the movie. (Raffle: $1 per ticket, $5 for 10 tickets, $10 for 20 tickets).  This is a family event, please plan on staying with your children throughout the duration of the event.
• Monday, January 16^th there is no school in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
• Monday, January 23^rd is RRES Spirit Night at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steak burgers from 5:00-8:00PM. **Please remember to tell them you are there for Rocky Run Elementary School when ordering so that we receive credit***
• Monday, January 30^th there is an early release Elementary Schools get out at 1:10 p.m.
• Tuesday, January 31^st is a Professional Day – No School
• Keep sending in Box Tops, and Labels for Education!  We’ve done a great job so far!!!
• Bulldog Pride Rock Rentals are still available.  Parents can rent the rock for $20 a week in celebration of birthdays, holidays, or a personal achievement!  For more information and to reserve your week, contact Becca Craven at [email protected]or check out the information on our website at rockyrunpto.org.
• Giant A+ Rewards are in full effect.  Remember, this year, you do not need to re-register your card if your school selections remains the same.
• The school store is open every Friday morning.  Nothing in the store is more than a dollar.  Please do not send children with bills larger than a $5.  Thanks in Advance!
