We hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Thank you to everyone who came out to our first vendor fair and thank you to Ms. Nicole Short for the excellent job planning the event!  Don’t forget…SOL testing is in full effect.  Remember, that a good night sleep and a healthy breakfast will go a long way with the kids.

Below, you will find information that will help you stay up to date on some events happening at school over the next few weeks.  We hope to see you all soon:

  • Tomorrow, Monday, May 22ndis Spirit Night at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers from 5-8PM.
  • This upcoming week is Cafeteria Appreciation Week. Our staff appreciation chair has a lot of surprises planned for our cafeteria crew at Rocky Run and if you are interested in helping out in any way, please contact Ms. Marie Shaffer at: [email protected]
  • Rocky Run’s Garden Club is looking for donations as well as volunteers to help our sad little court yards. On Thursday May 25th @ 3:30 we will be looking for help to not only clean up the court yards, but to do some planting as well. Those that are interested please contact Mrs. Vickers at [email protected]. Here is a list of needs to be donated; At least 8 big bags of garden soil; 6 big Top Soil bags; Annual seeds; Round Up; Box Wood (Small, enough for 4 plants); 3 Wood kits (6 inches high) *To make raise beds; Cord to tie debris; 5 feet stakes for trees (Wooden); 3 tomato plants; garden gloves
  • NO SCHOOL Friday May 26th and Monday, May 29th in celebration of Memorial Day!
  • As a service to our RRES families, the PTO is sponsoring the pre-order of your child’s school supplies for next year.  School supply kits are sold at cost and delivered to the school for pick up at Open House on August 31st. This is NOT a fundraiser.  Send your paper order into school with payment made out to Rocky Run PTO by June 9th, or order online until June 30th at educationalproducts.com/shoppacks.  School ID: RUN000 (3 letters/3 numbers).”
  • The school store is officially closed for the year.
  • The Bulldog Pride Rock is rented through the end of this school year.  Keep it in mind for next year for special occasions/celebrations.
  • Remember to continue to send in Box Tops for Education…it’s better to have them counted for next year than to expire in your kitchen drawer.
  • Giant A+ Rewards are in full effect.  Remember, this year, you do not need to re-register your card if your school selections remains the same.​
